      Adults with children - learning

      smalltalk is for parents with children aged from birth up to school age who may benefit from extra ideas about how to use everyday opportunities and activities to enhance their child’s early literacy and learning in the home.

      smalltalk is currently delivered in Supported Playgroups across Victoria by qualified facilitators who are trained to incorporate the program in playgroup sessions.

      Between 2009 and 2012, over 2200 families participated in a large-scale research study, the Early Home Learning Study (EHLS), which assessed the smalltalk program using a cluster randomised controlled trial.
